I am an immigrant, artist, and researcher born in Colombia. My work explores the relationships and effects of coloniality in new media through the lens of migratory experience and decolonial and anticolonial thought.
My recent research focuses on reclaiming the memory embedded in the ancestral interfaces of the Andes of Abya Yala—technologies that were silenced by colonization. I explore their connections to art and science, reactivating them through artistic processes involving video, sound interfaces, tangible live coding, and multimedia performance..
I’m currently pursuing a PhD at the School of Arts at the University of the West of England (UWE Bristol). I hold an MA from the Interface Cultures program at Kunstuniversität Linz, a BFA from Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha, and an MA in Multimedia and Visual Arts from Universitat Politècnica de València.
My work has been exhibited at festivals such as Ars Electronica (Austria), ADAF (Greece), the NIME conference, and in venues across the United States, Chile, Mexico, Spain, Germany, and Colombia.
Through my solo sound project AndinA, I draw inspiration from the ancestral technologies of the Andes of Abya Yala to unravel the sounds of the future, reclaiming them in the present.
With my instruments, I knot noisy textures and build deep percussive sound rituals that invite contemplation and listening to the past as a way to face the path ahead.

En mi investigación reciente, me enfoco en reivindicar la memoria contenida en las interfaces ancestrales de los Andes de Abya Yala, invisibilizadas por la colonización. Me interesa cómo estas tecnologías pueden dialogar con el arte la ciencia y cómo pueden ser reutilizadas en procesos artísticos que involucran video, interfaces sonoras, tangible live coding y performance multimedia.
Actualmente curso un doctorado en la escuela de artes de la Universidad del Oeste de Inglaterra (UWE Bristol). Previamente, obtuve un Master en Artes en el programa Interface Cultures (Kunstuniversität Linz), el grado en Bellas Artes por la Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha y un máster en Artes Visuales y Multimedia por la Universitat Politècnica de València.
He participado en festivales como Ars Electronica (Austria), ADAF (Grecia), la conferencia NIME, y en diversos espacios en Estados Unidos, Chile, México, España, Alemania y Colombia..
Con mi solo project “AndinA”, me inspiro en las tecnologías ancestrales de los Andes de Abya Yala para desentrañar los sonidos del futuro, reivindicándolas en el presente.
A través de mis instrumentos, anudo texturas ruidosas y construyo con percusiones rituales sonoros que invitan a la contemplación y a la escucha del pasado para afrontar el camino que viene.
